Pilates, also known as "Contrology" is a great workout for everyone, including men! The core focus alleviates back and neck problems and gives you greater strength in your powerhouse (or center). Beehive Fitness Boca knows the benefits of Pilates, which is why we love the pure aspects of our barre class. Beehive Fitness Boca offers up a variety of formats for Pilates including Reform, which simulates the reformer. Our foundation class, Joe's Gym, brings Pilates on the mat. We do the fundamentals of Pilates here with great focus on form and variety.
Beehive Fitness Boca, encourages all of our members to do pure Pilates at least twice a week with Barre, so that our members are able to extend their spine life. Back problems have been known to be alleviated from the simple foundation exercises that Pilates offers. Fly into one of our Barre classes and get those legs stronger! Barre offers some of the elements of classical ballet, while working the core and upper body for balance and support.
There are many components to Pilates: concentration, control, precision, centering and breathing, just to name a few. Without these basic principles, your training is lacking. Beehive Fitness Boca offers pure Pilates barre, mat and reformer classes. No fusion. We use the tenants of Pilates in everything we do at the Beehive.
